6How do we vet our locksmiths?
In order to join the directory, our locksmiths must: Have a clean DBS (formerly CRB) certificated, dated within 12 months. Hold a relevant training qualification. Have a minimum of 12 months on the job experience. Have a minimum of £2000,000.00 Public Liability insurance. Be an independent locksmith or independent locksmith company. We check the above by requesting sight of scanned documents prior to publishing profiles, we also conduct due diligence via companies house, we view websites and social media to ensure that all information ties up. Through our checks we have found dubious characters, often making false claims. These will never make it on to the directory. Although perhaps they should be named and shamed we leave that to the programme 'Rogue traders'.
